A majestic blend starring full-bodied Assam and wonderfully delicate Ceylon for a refreshing finish. Selected only from the finest quality organic tea plants. Best enjoyed with the morning papers.
The Assam region (Northern India) produces half of all tea produced in the country. The tropical climate there is one of the humidest in the world – which is perfect for growing high quality tea.
Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) is also known as Tea Island. Here our best tea is grown and harvested on plantations located in the mountains at altitudes of 1000 – 2000 km.
Cupper products are sourced and made with a clear conscience. We are the pioneers of unbleached and plastic-free tea bags and always strive to make things better for people and the planet.
Cupper Tea is traded in compliance with Fairtrade standards. Fairtrade tea certification and principles empower farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global market place. Interesting fact: the very first Fairtrade certified tea was launched by Clipper Teas (our Cupper Teas family) in 1994.
Preparation method: always use fresh water, pour it over the tea bag while it is still boiling (100 °C) and allow to infuse for 2-4 minutes.
